Mother Nature at Her Best!!!

You miss me???? I know it has been awhile but every time I think of doing this I am either into something else or the camera is in the backseat of the car so I have it with me at all times because there has been some times that I actually missed out on some photos...

It is fall and the wonderful colors are showing up more and more each day... today Pat and I went out for dinner and up to the falls.. the salmon are in the pools but not jumping yet... I guess that means I am going to have to get up there in the morning some day and see if I can capture one of the jumping the falls.... in all the years that I have tried to get one jumping I have only got one photo with an older camera... maybe I will have some luck this time....

Correction here it was not a grey heron it is a blue heron and the reason why I am telling you this ... I have been seeing lots of them around this year... and actually getting photos of them....

We were talking in the dining room when Carl said what just flew by... of course my back was to the window and I had no idea... he went and looked out the window to find yet another Blue Heron in our garden... I was lucky to get this photo because as soon as I started to snap the next door neighbors came down their driveway with their 4 wheeler and the bird flew away....

Maple tree in the middle of everything... as I said was up to the Falls with Pat this afternoon... I can't believe the water is so low... it is the lowest in years I have been told... that is good I can get closer to get hopefully some photos of jumping salmon...

Yvette, Carl always called the flower these berries come from wild hosta but I found out that they are not even close... they are the berries that come from the May Flower... Love the May flower in the spring and the berries in the fall... they are not eatable...

This week it has been a lot of I am on my way home but end up turning left then right and ending up getting home an hour or so later then I thought I was...one of my favorite places this time of the year is around the Basin where the ducks are... of course I bought some crack corn to feed them but took it over to mom and dad's to give them some and ended up forgetting it on top of the fridge and I still have not picked it up so I have been on the mercy of others that come and visit them...

I have been playing with the setting on my camera for the first time since I got it over a year ago... thank you Jill... after cleaning out my cupboard I actually found my book on the camera now to get to them to sit down and read up on all these setting and see what I am going to come up with next....

Two nights in a row at the ducks... this rock is the one I took several years ago during the spring time... when the ice was all around it and the sun was shining oh so perfect... I only had my sandels on but there is a series of rocks that I would like to snap so I do have to go back with my sneakers on... to do it .. I have to climb down a bank to get to it... the river is filled with down as the ducks wandr around this area....

Grey Heron Crane... as I was driving up to west for something or other and what was sitting in the harbour... I have to say I am very happy about the little parking lot that they made allow the back of the Fed Building for us to park and picnic tables along the way so we can walk or sit or take photos...
