This is what I have been seeing all winter from my window in the hall.. it is my clematis... it is the first time I didn't cut them down in the fall... though they are going to be planted else where come the spring...

Mr. Nutty enjoying the sun and a snack outside my window... actually it was a quiet day at the bird feeders... so he got to spend a lot of time there alone and not fighting off the other 5 that are usually around...March 16,2009
A few weeks ago when we went down to pick up my son we stopped in a place that I now call my favorite little place to stop at when we travel down that way.... because they always have the most interesting things... I picked up this wind chime but when I got it home and looked at it... I decided that it would never last the winds around here so it was placed in my dining room window so come spring it will chime within the house... and it does that very easily with the little spring on it... My little red bike that has been covered all winter because someone forgot to pick it up in the fall is finally uncovered... but as I took the photo I see the shape that the old feeder that the boys' father built and still wonder how I am going to repair it so it will still continue to have its place in my garden....
It is totally amazing how thick the ground is with seeds... now if I can talk Carl into not mowing around the feeder for a while maybe we will have a few sunflowers this year... a few hundred that is he he....

On February 27th, I snapped a photo of my little cowboy at the tree and it was almost covered... since then it has been but Thursday as I was looking out the window I noticed that it was almost showing its whole self... not saying that the snow is almost gone... now that would be a miracle but it is a sure sign that spring is on the way... the chimes also lasted the winter... something else I forgot to pick up before the snow covered the lawn...

Friday we went out looking for a special album that Carl wanted to put some special photos in... and as we travelled along ... I came across several hats that I liked... of course I am a hat nut not having all that many of them... but love to buy ones that I am actually going to wear... and this was one I picked up this week... a spring hat which was a good idea since Friday was the first day of spring...

And as usual as I am working away at the computer my puppies are on the bed having a lie down... lay down ... which ever one is right... but are not always sleeping as Kodak is watching as I am clicking at the keys... he always has at least one eye on me...

I did take yet another photo of my calendar the other day ... it is still not changed... actually I was going to do that and realized that it was in a very bad place since I have another table with the scanner/printer and a ton of stuff on it for the photo project that I am working on for Carl's parents so until I get that cleaned up ... the calendar remains on January... I am glad that it is not my appointment calendar I would have missed a heck of a lot in the last months...
