Another week already has gone by... I don't have a clue where the time is going but boy it is not slowing down for anyone especially not me....

July 17, 2009

It seems that being on the ground looking for food was not enough for this fellow he had to go higher to spot the fries being tossed out the window... yes ladies and gentlemen this is a MacDonald's Seagull....

July 18, 2009
I have always had squirrels in my backyard and often wondered why I have never had any chipmunks ... I now know why... it is living at my mother's giving mom a wonderful time watching it as they feed it several times a day...

July 19, 2009
Just some nice puffy clouds I spotted as I was driving home....

July 20, 2009

Flo found this wooden basket that she was hanging on this dog, filling it with seeds and nuts.... then about 1/2 way through its snack time she moved it to a little hanger... but the chipmunk didn't know that and went looking for all the goodies that he had been enjoying.. it looks like it is hanging from the dog's chin...

A big visitor came to the house.. my oldest niece Lisette is home this week visiting... and she dropped in when I was there... the good looking one in the picture is my dad... her grandfather...

July 22, 2009
I thought I would show that I actually do work some times around the house... I was putting on the second coat of paint on the clothes line stand... one of my favorite things to do....

July 23, 2009
Mr. Kodak making sure that I wouldn't leave him behind this time... I can't move an inch on my chair without hitting into him....

Let's hope that time doesn't fly by too fast this coming week.... Have a great weekend... it is a busy one for me and my family.... Joanne

July 10, 2009
Carl had been gone for almost 2 weeks Kodak reacts to his leaving more then Maggie...he will lay on the mat for days after he leaves with his nose to the door... but on the day of his return he also knows that it is time for his come back... because of the things that I do around the house... but it is when Carl drives in the yard it is just too funny to see and listen to ... the howls that come out of them it is unreal... you think they were both got their tails stuck in the door or something...

July 11, 2009
This is something very rare for miss Maggie... sitting long enough for me to snap a photo of her
but look at her mouth she looks like she has a smirk on her lips... too funny

July 12, 2009
Morning Dove sunning itself in the morning sun... I love these birds...

July 13, 2009

The last time I took the time to knit something this small was 20 years ago... so that is why I am showing it off... it is big enough to fit a cabbage patch doll but it is the first of a few sweaters I am making for Our Bean... it took a whole night to get the bans and collar on I actually thought I was going to have to go see my sister-in-law for help... Note to Amanda and Robin you asked for knitted things for the baby well make room there is going to be a lot of it coming your way... she started knitting as well.. he he

It is the starting of hay season around here... cough, cough, sniff... I wanted to get a photo of the hay that was cut down the road from us a certain way but there was no way I was staying to try and get it right .... I went out to the field that night and within 2 minutes I was covered with mosquitoes .....

July 16, 2009

This is a where is this one photo... anyone....

With all the rain that we have in the last month I have a hard time to get out to take photos... I hate bugs...and I have this rule that I have been living by since I started to garden... three bites and I am out of there... and with so many of them it doesn't take long for me to get back in the car and drive off.... I am hoping that the weather continues to as it is sunny and warm so that they will all disappear and I can get out more with the camera...

Have a great weekend... Joanne

July 4 to 9

These five days have been interesting for me... next to the fact that we actually have sunshine around here instead of rain... which means I have been out and about more then the last three weeks .... and as long as the rain holds out I will be around looking for different things to put on this post...

July 4, 2009

There are times when I take most of the day to figure out what I am going to take a photo of for the day... and this one was no different... though I do take a lot of photos of flowers I like something different some times... and today was the day... the car was dirty and I had been saying I am going to get it washed... and finally I did... and that is what this is.. .me going through the car wash...

July 5, 2009

I had to take a picture of this little fellow.. he landed and as if he was saying take me take me... now give me some food... I took the picture but didn't have food for him or the other 30 seagulls that were around the car....

July 6, 2009

This is the North Shore Regiment Memorial in our city park... there are many around the city and in time I will get to all of them to post... one the list on the left of this picture is my uncle Aurele Aubie is named... I am sure those of the family realize that he is Nanny Odille's brother who died during the WWII in France...

July 7, 2009

The one thing I have had a very hard time with is taking pictures of the moon and night time but I was on my way to bed Tuesday night and the moon was just coming up over the trees in the back of the house and I thought why not give it another try... and I have no idea what I did but I got it right this time because there it is the moon and it actually looks like one...

July 8, 2009
The city has been working on this little village in the city center... and this summer they are adding a look out tower which I am actually quite excited about it and can't wait to get up there ... I have been always looking for hills and high places to take different kinds of photos... this will give me a different out look of the city... I think it is cool that they put it up....

July 9, 2009

Of course there can't be a posting without at least one kind of flower on it... buttercups... next to daisies are my favorite wild flower.. and there has been lots of them growing around my father's garden hose this year...

Well that is it for now... I am off to see what else different can be seen through the lens of my camera to share... have a wonderful day... I hope that it is sunny where you are and if not... keep the sun shining in your heart... Joanne

June 29 to July 3

With the starting of another month I was hoping to have some photos of something with sun... but the weather here has been terrible going on 3 weeks... if it is not raining, it is foggy and cloudy... I don't remember the last time the sun has been out... though it almost showed itself yesterday...but that is the closest it has come to shining... despite the weather I still am travelling around the area for photos... in some way going to places where normally are crowded with people because of the sun with the weather as it is I have the place to myself or close to it... like the beach... people just don't like going to these places without the sun... it doesn't matter to me as long as it is not a down pour...

June 29, 2009

Next to flowers wild or grown I think taking photos of what comes up on the sand at the beach is a favorite place for me to be... and I have travelled down a few times this week just looking for things I would like to photography....

June 30, 2009

Summer time without at least one picture of a daisy wouldn't be complete... with all the rain they are almost becoming transparent...

July 1, 2009
This is what our little city has been looking like for the last several weeks... imagines through the fog... I took this one mid afternoon on a trip up to west...

July 2,2009

My irises are finally starting to bloom... they are being very slow this year... I wonder why ...lol

July 3, 2009

The tiger lilies have been out at mom's for a few days and I finally snapped a few shots of them... even though I only put canvas sneakers on that day and ended up with very wet feet... but the shots were with it....

Happy snapping everyone... Joanne
